About Junya Watanabe MAN:
unya Watanabe MAN is the menswear line of Junya Watanabe, launched under Comme des Garçons in 2001. Known for its expert tailoring, innovative fabric treatments, and hybrid designs, the brand blends classic menswear silhouettes with experimental construction and technical materials. Watanabe, a former protégé of Rei Kawakubo, is renowned for reinterpreting traditional workwear, military, and outdoor styles through patchwork techniques, asymmetry, and functional detailing. The brand frequently collaborates with heritage labels such as Levi’s, Carhartt, The North Face, and New Balance, fusing artisanal craftsmanship with contemporary utility.

About Junya Watanabe:
Junya Watanabe is a Japanese fashion designer born in 1961 in Fukushima. He is best known as the creative director of his eponymous label, which has been part of the Comme des Garçons group since its inception in 1992. Watanabe joined CDG in the late 1980s as a patternmaker and quickly rose to become a design director before launching his own label under the CDG umbrella. His initial focus was on womenswear, applying a more utilitarian approach to designs inspired by his hero, Issey Miyake. After the launch of Junya Watanabe MAN in 2001, Watanabe has brought his ethos of reimagining classics to the men's front, collaborating with brands like New Balance, Levi's, Carhartt, and Palace over the years. Watanabe often uses classic garments and reimagines them through a mix of art, pattern, patchwork, and deconstruction, making him one of the top designers in the world.
